Q: What phase of pregnancy is best to get your belly painted?
A: The ideal time to have you belly painted is between 6-8 months, or when you feel most comfortable.

Q:What do I need to do on the day of body painting?
Wear a Sari, or a top that shows your proud belly. NO OIL OR LOTION on your body. This is very important as it will affect the paint’s adhesion!

Q: How long does it take?
Most designs can be painted within an hour (if you choose one of our existing designs), but if you want your own, it may take longer. Please let me know if you have a time frame you’d like me to stick to, so I can tailor your design to fit your schedule and your budget!

Q: I don’t know what design I want! Can you help?
Of course! we have a selection you can choose from.

Q: Do I need to stand, sit, or lay down for an hour?
Usually what I do is have you stand for just a couple minutes while I lightly sketch the design with a makeup pencil first…this prevents your design from looking distorted when you stand up at the end. Then I’ll have you sit for the rest of the painting. It works best if you’re on a chair without arms, as they can block my access to the sides of your belly, and being at a slight angle (or a pillow behind your lower back) so your belly isn’t scrunched up. But, you’re welcome to lie down if that’s more comfortable, and of course get up and stretch or change positions whenever you need!

Q:What’s included in the photography package?
A: We will email you the unedited pictures from the photo shoot in small digital files (5″ 7″ at 72 dpi — perfect size for web use). You choose your three (3) favorites, and then we edit and retouch those to make them perfect. We will email you the final, edited three pictures at full-size high-resolution to print if you wish. Additional high-resolution choices may be added for an extra charge of Rs750.

Q: How do I book.
A: you can choose your time slot directly and book on

Q: Is the paint safe for baby?
Most definitely! We only use the highest quality professional supplies, FDA compliant for cosmetic use. We tend to call it face “paint” because it goes on with artist brushes, …it is actually makeup designed for use on skin. My paint is all water based and easily washes off with soap and water when you’re done enjoying your design!

Q: Can my toddler paint my belly instead of the artist?
A: of course! if you have another child, this would be a great bonding opportunity for you, him/her and the baby in a super fun way! 🙂 You can highlight in the booking form whether you want an artist or your toddler to paint your belly.

Q: Can I give a pregnant belly art session as a gift?
A: YES! Pregnant Belly Art is an amazing gift to give mother’s to be. They are exciting baby shower gifts, Or a gift to your expecting wife, daughter-in-law, friend. Gift e-certificates are available. you can also plan a “belly painting” baby shower session with us!
